Minor: Spatial Data Science
Modulkürzel: ReSe
ECTS-Credits: 5
Modultyp: Wahlpflichtmodul

Essential Information

Remote sensing deals with the processing, evaluation, and analysis of satellite, airplane and drone-based imagery and related products. These remote sensing products such as optical and thermal satellite imagery, digital elevation models and RADAR applications are becoming more accessible and increasingly relevant to the scientific, governmental and industry sector.

You will familiarize yourself with different remote sensing techniques ranging from land-use analysis, natural disaster management, biodiversity research to urban planning, and energy consulting. Remote sensing data is increasingly accessible and its potential, especially in applied environmental sciences, is far from being fully realized and holds great potential für future applications in environmental applications.
